About the Mini

PlaySimple publishes a Mini alongside the full-size Daily Themed Crossword every day. It is a 5x5 grid with ten clues — five across, five down — and the answers are short, typically three to five letters. Occasionally a grid has a fully blocked column and runs nine clues instead of ten.

We hold every Mini back to November 1, 2021, the first one ever published — older puzzles are not listed here but their pages exist, so use the date picker in the sidebar or the previous/next links on any Mini page to reach them.
